This original painting, created in 2021 by Balthazar Erasmus, depicts the raw ethos of Kevin Michael “GG Allin”, (Born Jesus Christ). An iconic and polarizing figure in music and culture, “the last true rock n roll star”,  most commonly know for eating his own faeces while performing. The portrait uses chaotic brushstrokes that reflect the composition of the painting and the subjects viscerally unhinged persona.

About The Artist: 

Balthazar Erasmus is a multi-disciplinary South African artist from Durban who creates meta-nature art using various mediums and techniques. In doing so, his creations often become clichés of art itself. The mission is to provide community art with a story that encapsulates and invites interpretation, reminding the viewer that they are a part of the experience.
