Aergia - Balthazar Erasmus (Limited Edition, Original Lino Cut Prints)
About the artwork:
Aergia is the Greek goddess and embodiment of sloth, idleness, apathy, and lethargy. This print by Balthazar Erasmus however is the opposite of Aergia 's indolence as his bold, expressive style by using stark black and white contrasts with dynamic, swirling chaotic lines lines that create a sense of movement and energy. The aggressive carving technique adds to the raw, unfiltered quality of the image.
