About The Artist:
Ameerah Moola is a writer and inter-disciplinary artist whose work themes the taboo, spirituality, childhood and fables. She is interested in the decolonisation of the body and the mind, and thus makes work that hopes to agitate and inspire. She is passionate about “Play” and aims to bring this out in her work. Dealing with feelings of sorrow, violence in the media, sexuality and a deep sense of sadness, while juxtaposing this with bright and vibrant colours to show the disconnect she feels from reality.
